Change your handle or page URL

Your link has two parts: your username, and the address of each page. In moime.app/maren/work, maren is the username and work is the page's address. You can change both.

Change your username

1. Open Profile and find Your link.
2. Type the new name in Username. Use the letters a to z, numbers and _, from 3 to 30 characters, with at least one letter. Capitals are changed to lowercase.
3. Read the note under the box. It shows your new link.
4. Press Save in the top bar.

What happens to the old one

• For 30 days your old username is held for you. Links to it, including links to your pages, lead to the new one, and nobody else can take it.
• You can change your username 3 times in 30 days. If you hit the limit, moime tells you how many days to wait.
• Some names are reserved for moime's own pages, and some are blocked. If a name is refused, pick another.

Links you already put in your bio keep working during the hold. Change them to the new link when you can.

Change a page's address

1. Open the page in the editor and open Address & who can see it.
2. Edit Address. It takes letters a to z, numbers and dashes. The change is saved when you leave the box.

If you rename a page, the editor offers a new address based on the new title, and a box named Keep the current address if you would rather not change it. Once a page is published, links to its old address lead to the new one.
